Some year-of-the-ox new year's illustrations done on Illustrator for iPad and finished up on the desktop. The oxen were done in the style of kimekomi dolls. I used to watch my mother make these. You press kimono scraps, or other fabrics, over a pressed wood mold shaped into dolls and other decorative shapes.
Happy New Year!
